Konami Brings Karaoke Revolution to the Hip-Hop Generation

If you enjoyed Karaoke Revolution and like the hippity hop, then you are in for a treat. Konami and Def Jam are teaming up to bring you Def Jam Rapstar, a new hip-hop karaoke game. What we weren't expecting to hear, however, is that it will support motion control on all of the consoles.

We assume that this is going to be an addition of the types of motion that you would expect to see a rapper doing while on stage. While it may sound a little odd, the inclusion of motion control in a karaoke game isn't all that crazy. Singers don't stand motionless while they perform, even karaoke singers (if we can consider them performers), so it will add another level of engagement with the game.

They have announced 5 of the more than 40 tracks that will ship with the game, and they are: "Children's Story" by Slick Rick, "Gold Digger" by Kanye West, "Nuthin But a G Thang " by Dr. Dre, "Live Your Life " by T.I. and "Put On" by Young Jeezy. It looks like the partnership with Def Jam has allowed them to get some of the better-known artists involved in the project, which is what makes or breaks a music game (except for DJ Hero where the controller SUCKED).

Will you be playing Def Jam Rapstar or can you not speak faster than you can think? Let us know. For more info on the game, hit the link.
