Merge Your Cards into One with Plastc - Show Notes

Merge Your Cards into One with Plastc

Saturday Jan 10, 2015 (00:06:06)

Description

While mobile payments are just getting started in the US, the idea of eliminating all of your cards is definitely an appealing one. Luckily, until the concept of mobile payments becomes more convenient than carrying a physical card, Plastc is here to lighten the burden.

Combining all of your cards into a single, programmable device, Plastc means you can carry only this card and nothing else. On the front is an eInk touchscreen and EMV chip, while on the back is a programmable mag stripe. Once the Plastc knows about your debit, credit or even rewards card, it is capable of replicating the stripe or chip to match, while the display shows the details of the card being cloned.

Plastc is available for preorder at $155, with expected delivery in Summer.
