Description

We'll talk about Sony and Ubisoft and all of the fun they bring with them.

Participants

Scott Ertz

Host

Scott is a developer who has worked on projects of varying sizes, including all of the PLUGHITZ Corporation properties. He is also known in the gaming world for his time supporting the rhythm game community, through DDRLover and hosting tournaments throughout the Tampa Bay Area. Currently, when he is not working on software projects or hosting F5 Live: Refreshing Technology, Scott can often be found returning to his high school days working with the Foundation for Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology (FIRST), mentoring teams and helping with ROBOTICON Tampa Bay. He has also helped found a student software learning group, the ASCII Warriors, currently housed at AMRoC Fab Lab.

Nicholas DiMeo

Host

With over ten years of audio engineering experience, Nick's addition to PLuGHiTz Corporation is best served when he is behind the mixing board every Sunday night to produce the audio side of F5 Live: Refreshing Technology, Piltch Point and PLuGHiTz Live Night Cap. While mixing live every week, his previous radio show hosting experience gives him the ability to co-host as well, giving each show a unique flare with his slightly off-center, yet still realistic take on all things tech. An integral part of the show, you can find Nick always enveloped in coming up with new (and sometimes crazy) ideas and content for the show and you can always expect the most direct opinion on the stories that he feels need to be shared with the world. During the few hours where Nick isn't sleeping or working on ways to improve the company, he spends his free time going to hockey and football games and playing the latest titles on Xbox 360. Email him for his gamertag and add him today for a fun escape from the normal monotony and annoyance that the Xbox LIVE gaming community can sometimes be!

Jon Wurm

Host

Jon is a F5 Live co-host and UpStream contributor as well as the Chief Cash Officer of PLuGHiTz Corporation. We don't know how he wears so many hats so well or how he still finds time to feed his need for all things tech but some questions are best left unanswered. If you're up for a challenge go find him on Xbox Live @shinobiJon and if you figure him out...let us know.

E3 2011 - Sony's Moving in On Kinect

Last year, Sony showed off a little of what PlayStation Move was and what it could do, but all I really took away from it was Sorcery (yeah!). It was clear they had other ideas but no one had had the time or interest to create the things that were in their head. This year was a totally different story. After a full year of thinking Sony was going to waste away on the technology of Move they surprised us with a huge showing of games and concepts surrounding Move.

E3 2011 - Living La 'Vita' PlayStation

Sony came back with vengeance after debuting the PlayStation Move at E3 2009 and showing it off last year and dealing with the bad press from the recent PSN outage problems. They actually did a lot of things better this year and ended up with the coveted PLuGHiTz Live! Best of the Big 3 at E3' award... almost by unanimous decision. No, we didn't see it coming either but they deserve it and if you want to hear me swallow my pride on air and say lots of good things about Sony then give Episode 207 - E3 2011 Day 3 a listen and download it for your historical records. Of course you want to know about all the awesome stuff Sony did and between all the hosts here we're keeping you plugged in, so kick off your shoes and stay a while. As for the 'Vita' fans out there I have something here that your going to like.

E3 2011 - The Adventures of TinTin The Game

I was first introduced to the bright-eyed, young and adventures British boy named TinTin during Ubisoft's press conference this year. Apparently the 'The Game' part of the title indicates that the story came from somewhere else entirely, like a book or a movie. In fact, it is a film inspired game from Paramount Digital Entertainment which in turn originated from a variety of other French books.

E3 2011 - Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier

You want to talk about a development studio that knows how to thrown down at a press event? Let's talk about Ubisoft! Even if you remove the Rabbids, Ezio Firenze, Rayman and Jason Brody, all which blew my mind, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Solider stole the show on its own. If you thought what you saw with the Gunsmith feature from the Microsoft event, you, my friend, are sadly mistaken. Future Soldier takes the Tom Clancy franchise to a whole new level.

E3 2011 - Assassin's Creed: Revelations - A Blast from the Past

Assassin's Creed: Revelations is the latest installment in the acclaimed Assassin's Creed series by Ubisoft. I must start off by saying that I love the song playing in the trailer, available after the break. Anyway, we see our dear protagonist, Ezio, in his later years. He seeks the end to the war between the Assassins and the Templar for good.
