Your Floors Will be Minty Fresh

Your Floors Will be Minty Fresh

The Mint automatic floor cleaner by Evolution Robotics is giving Roomba a run for their money. This device uses Northstar Technology to devise a more accurate and faster way to clean your hard surface floors. It works by using a beacon that shoots two points of infrared light onto the ceiling. The Mint then sees the light, and creates a map of the floor, that allows the device to be more organized in it's system of cleaning. Easy to snap in, magnetic dry or wet clean pads makes it simple to use, even for those who can't set the time on the VCR. Expected to be priced at under $250.00, you can have cleaner floors by spring 2010.

You Rock Guitar

You Rock Guitar

One of the cooler, more unique products we saw on the show floor was the You Rock Guitar. It is a fully digital guitar that can be used for a number of uses. Everything from basic guitar playing to Guitar Hero controller, this gadget can do it.

One of my favorite features of this guitar is the fact that it comes with a MIDI controller built-in. If you are a musician and want to record your music digitally, or you just don't want to mix as a DJ the old fashion way, you can control anything MIDI with the guitar.

Rumor Alert!

Rumor Alert!

Sprint and LG have come out with the first touch screen LG Rumor phone. And no, this is not a Rumor (or a Rant or Rave.) A virtual keyboard appears on the 3" screen, but a pull-out full QWERTY keyboard is also included. The device is very thin despite the 5 row keyboard, with very convenient, easy to press, raised keys. The front of the phone includes 3 physical keys: back, home and call. The LG Rumor Touch also features a 3.5mm headset jack, a MicroSD card slot and a 2.0 Megapixel camera and camcorder. As with many Sprint phones, you will also have access to a music player, EVDO Rev.0, Sprint Music, Sprint TV, Facebook and Twitter. It will be released sometime in the first quarter and is expected to do very well.

USB = Universal Solar Bus

USB = Universal Solar Bus

Regen has come out with an innovative new solar panel, nothing like you've seen before. Much smaller, thinner, and just all around better looking than your typical solar charger, the ReNu features an integrated battery, an indicator light on the rear side of the panel and a docking station allowing the device to be very user-friendly. The docking station not only displays the charge remaining but also tells you how much charge you've used throughout the week. Pretty cool huh? Although intended to be a home charging station, the solar panel is very easy to travel with and includes a suction cup to absorb solar energy right through your car window. The docking station is specifically designed for your iPod/ iPhone, but the panel comes equipped with a USB port that is able to charge a variety of devices. Wondering how you can save money on your electric bill? You'll have the solution by June of this year!

Panasonic Wins Best in Show at CES for 3D HDTV Coming Out This Spring

Voted this year's Best in Show at CES, the Panasonic TC-P50 VT25 is giving us something to talk about. This full-HD 3D plasma TV will be available in a variety of sizes from 50". to 65". With an outstanding dynamic contrast ratio of 5,000,000:1, Panasonic has taken the term TV to a whole new level. The Viera Cast service will allow you to connect to the Internet through your TV and features services such as Picasa, YouTube, Pandora, Twitter, and Netflix. This "connected TV" will also feature two USB ports, a WiFi dongle and a Skype webcam add-on allowing you to chat via webcam on a larger screen. There is no price point yet but Panasonic hopes to be the first to release a worthy 3D HDTV, expecting to be out in spring 2010. If you are interested in purchasing this television, no need to go out and buy 3D glasses, as a badass pair comes included. No wonder it was voted Best in Show.

Transfer Jet: Cool New Tech? Or Poor Man's Infrared?

Transfer Jet: Cool New Tech? Or Poor Man's Infrared?

One of the main points of Sony's Keynote presentation at CES was a new technology called Transfer Jet. This feature, which will be available in Sony cameras, Vaios and photo frames as of now and expand into 40 other companies in the future, allows for a close proximity wireless transfer of media content. If you've ever been to an event and wanted pictures from your friend's camera, only to never see them again, this is the tech you're going to want.

Transfer Jet allows for simple operation, from what appears to be as easy as touching the two devices together to allow the transfer to occur.
