Wii Finally Have a Verdict, $16.5 Million for Tragic Death

Everyone remembers the story of the mother who died for her kids a while back. But it wasn't the usual hero story of giving up a body part for her child, instead a tragic accident. And the culprit? A careless radio station in California.
Jennifer Strange, a wife and mother of three, participated in a radio contest hosted by KDND-FM, attempting to win a Nintendo Wii for her family in their "Hold Your Wee for a Wii" competition. During this contest she suffered from water intoxication and later died. After the unfortunate event, a lawsuit was filed against Entercom Sacramento LLC, subsidiary of Philadelphia-based Entercom Communications Corp., and after two years of waiting the family has been awarded 16.5 million dollars. This decision was reached by a California jury this week.
Although this can not replace a mother and wife, most people feel that some compensation was required for the company's ignorance, and it's about time they received it.
