Liquid Image Adds LTE to Wearable Cameras

Wednesday Jan 22, 2014 (00:04:56)

Description

Liquid Image, a well-known manufacturer of wearable cameras, has added a brand new feature to their product line: Verizon Wireless LTE. With the addition of LTE, these cameras will now have the ability to stream their videos live from anywhere Verizon LTE is available.

The obvious use for this product is sports, but there is a need for something like this for first responders, as well. With the ability to stream what they are seeing to people not on-hand, ambulance drivers, for example, could show the hospital they are taking a patient to what is coming their way.

The LTE version of the camera will run $399 starting this summer, while the Wi-Fi model for around $199.
