MobileHealth Keeps Seniors Connected to Health and Safety Services

Saturday Jan 10, 2015 (00:04:42)

Description

The concept of connected pendants for seniors is not a new one - we've all heard the "I've fallen and I can't get up" commercial. The capabilities have continued to increase over the years, with the addition of features like cellular connectivity for usage anywhere.

In the past, MobileHelp has even added sensors to their pendant to detect falls on its own, so it can call for help even if the wearer is unable to press the button. This year, the company has added a new feature to its base station: Bluetooth low energy. This gives the system the ability to monitor other connected devices, like blood pressure monitors, blood sugar glucometers, scales, etc.
